Hi,
I've been baffled by a strange error code that arises when I try to render a video clip minus its audio on the VS9 timeline with a cleaned-up audio .wav clip on the voice track.
In an attempt to remove a background buzz on a video clip in VS9, I separated the audio from the video, ran the separated audio wav file through Audacity, eliminated the buzz and exported it as a cleaned .wav file.
I then put both the audio-free video on the timeline and put the exported , cleaned up audio file on the voice track, lined them up and tried to render them.
then up pops the following error code
"multiple file playback error: preparation failure"
I don't know what causes the error or what to do to eliminate it. Has anyone experienced this before and solved it?

Multiple file playback error in VS9

Steve,
Following your suggestion to use Audacity to clean up my audio, strange things are happening now.
Yesterday I could separate an audio track from the video and feed it to Audacity, clean it up and export it as a .wav file, but today no go.
First, even though I created a .wav file with VS9, Audacity tries to load it as an MP3 file, then crashes with the error code "Runtime Error...Abnormal program termination" Have you any idea what could be happening? Why an MP3 file when prefs are set to WAV?
Second, I've installed, tried and removed Audacity 1.2.6, 1.2.3 and 1.2.2 since they all produce the same fault. I'm wondering if VS9 is producing a faulty .wav file. How can I check it?
Interestingly it will load yesterday's noisy .avi but not todays.
