Hi,
I hope you can give me some help with this issue...
I have a portable DVD-RW Unit (USB):
"FREECOM FS50 DVD RW Double Layer LightScribe"
I usually make videos for the web, but this time I have to produce a DVD to send to TV Stations in Portugal, of which you can see a first version here:
http://www.regicidio.org
The final version for DVD will be a bit different, production is better, etc... It is an advert to announce the Official Ceremonies of the Centenial Remembrance Anniversary of the Lisbon Regicide of 1908.
Well, from my ULEAD 11.0 PLUS, I tried to create the DVD and BANG...
When it tries to burn the DVD, it comes up with a message:
"Unspecified Error 5:0:0"
Any ideas of what this means?
Thanks in advance
Best regards
LG

Hi LG, in a word, from what you've told us, no!lguerreiro wrote:Any ideas of what this means?
But it could be caused by several things. First of all, you can avoid many possible pitfalls by using the "Suggested Workflow" as described in the following link. It's a method that many VS users have found to be the most reliable way to output to DVD.

Secondly, I would suggest you try using VS to output to DVD folders, or, possibly simpler still, an ISO file. You can then try burning this to a DVD either with the Ulead burning module or your favourite burning software, something like Nero or Roxio, or even the excellent freeware IMGburn.
It could be that VS is not "seeing" your burner.
I trust your external USB DVD writer works OK with other applications, which would rule out a problem with the burner itself.
