The manual indicates that I should be able to see the individual frames in the timeline - but I can't. In the timeline, the individual videos appear as thumbnails with gray bars extending to the right. Sliding the zoom control all the way to the right (+) doesn't show individual frames; it just makes the gray bar longer. The only place I can get these to appear is in Multitrim. Is there some secret to getting the individual frames to appear in the timeline?
What I'm trying to do is make simple cuts. It's easiest to do this if I can see the frames where the scenes change, and then use the scissors tool. I can see the individual frames in Multitrim, but there isn't a scissors tool there and I have to use the mark-in and mark-out points, which isn't nearly as simple. Periodically I'll add the mark out point, and realize that I didn't have a mark in point. Then I have to go back and find the end of the previous clip so I can make a mark in point. Argggh!
