can not drag and drop from Camio Viewer in PhotoImpact 10

Post by DonnaThue »

I recently installed my PI 10 on an XP machine. Was using WIN2K. In WIN2K I was able to DL photos from camera via Camio Viewer. CV would show images in a sidebar. All I used to have to do was drag the image to PhotoImpact and drop there for editing.
Camera hardware and software loaded successfully....Camio viewer shows images transferred from camera in a sidebar...In attempting to drag and drop, I do get the little (what I will call) the 'copy here' icon, but when I release mouse button, image will NOT drop into PI.
I noticed, too, that in trying to set this up in XP ...(and I do not remember having to go thru so much when I installed on old WIN2K)....PI creates its own folder of my images in "MY PICTURES.." I do NOT want to have to "browse" for recently uploaded images that are already in the Camio Viewer sidebar waiting to be dragged over as I select.
What is wrong????? I really need this issue solved pronto and would appreciate any advice! Thanks!!!

After typing about my problem, I attempted to drag and drop images from the "Browse Manager" that PI created. Images will not drag and drop from THERE, either... hmmmmmm....So, something is truly wacky here.
