Photo Frames for slides

Post by rvrkids »

I am new to PictureShow and am using the trial version and have several questions that I could not find exact answers in the forum.

I added a picture frame to my slides but it adds the same one to every slide. Can you individualize each/one photo slide with frames etc.?

My show will have about 5 different sections. Can my menu show those 5 sections? Does it depend on the them I choose?

Does the theme only apply to the menu? I couldn't see how it affected my slideshow.

If I insert a blank "title" slide to begin a new section of photos, is there a way to scroll the text (i.e. kind of like Star Wars beginning (boy does this show my age)).

Last, there were very few choices for everything. Can I assume the choices would increase greatly with the full purchased version?

Thanks so much for any info. I'm trying to decide which program to purchase and so far I'm not excited with this one.

Welcome to the forum :-)

>> I added a picture frame to my slides but it adds the same one to every slide. Can you individualize each/one photo slide with frames etc.?

It applies the same picture frame to the entire show. Unfortunately there's no option to set picture frames on a per slide basis.

After you've completed the first segment of your 5 part show, use the "add new slide show" option to individually create your additional segments. By doing this, your segments will appear as separate items on the menu. By default, when your viewer plays the show all the segments will run continuously in the proper order.

>> Does the theme only apply to the menu? I couldn't see how it affected my slideshow.

It has an effect on both the menu AND the show. When you preview your show you should hear background music from the menu and the show itself. Other effects are added as well. You can change some of these manually if certain elements of the theme aren't to your liking.

>> If I insert a blank "title" slide to begin a new section of photos, is there a way to scroll the text (i.e. kind of like Star Wars beginning (boy does this show my age).

Looks like "the force" isn't with you on this one! As far as I know there is no way to scroll text in Version 4.

>> Last, there were very few choices for everything. Can I assume the choices would increase greatly with the full purchased version?

If you're referring to templates and additional design content, yes, the full version includes a fairly good assortment. The trial version just gives you enough to get an idea of what the program can do.

In general, if you're looking for more creative freedom I might suggest taking a look at "MovieFactory 6 Plus". If "complete" control is more to your liking check out "VideoStudio 11 Plus"

Good luck!
