Jerky video after DVD render...help please! :)

Post by steveo3279 »

So I followed everyones tips and created a video file, then a new project, then burned that to disc. The video I burned is still very jerky in parts and I can't figure out why. Any ideas?

I'm running at 3.2ghz Intel w/HT
3 gigs of RAM
nVidia GeoForce 7600GS - 512mb of memory
gobs of hard drive space available
This machine should have plenty of horses to handle this 13min render.

The odd thing is, the first time we rendered the movie, it was fine (we burned directly to disc). After that, it started getting jerky. We have the movie saved as a VSP. When we play it in the preview area of VideoStudio 11, all looks fine. Both the video file and burn to disc are jerky. I've made sure I've got nothing running the background, have my system setup for max performance, yet still get the jerky video.

Any help in the area would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Steve

There is a sticky post second from the top of this web board which reads: "PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE POSTING". Please read it and come back with the information it requires. No one will be able to help you without it.

Could you try to define "jerky" while you are at it?

wikipedia wrote: "Jerky" is meat that has been cut into strips trimmed of fat, marinated in a spicy, salty or sweet liquid, and then dried with low heat (usually under 70¢XC/160¢XF) or occasionally salted and sun-dried. The result is a salty, stripped, semi-sweet snack that can be stored without refrigeration. Jerky is an early application of food preservation techniques.

So something is wrong with the OPs video about Jerky?? ;)

What is it that prevents posters from filling in the sytem info? Is the profile page too obscure, or too frightening?

I wonder if there's a way of making a template form that they can fill in. Even better if it couldn't be submitted until all fields had been filled in, like an INS application...!
