Anytime I try to install Ulead VideoStudio11Plus a sign appear that says:
Error 2711. The specified Feature name ('Plus') not found in Feature table.
And when I click OK appear another one: Error: 1603 Fatal error during installation. Consult Windows Installer Help (Msi.chm) or MSDN for more information

I am afraid to say that quite often (more often than not?) computer programs sold on eBay are OEM or crippled versions which are normally given away free. Is there anything on the packaging or CD label of your VS11 which indicates exactly which version it is? Does it look like a professionally made label? Do the letters SE appear anywhere?

Naysayers?

Hi Nena1936

well at least the good news is that it's probably not the SE version, which would be an emasculated o.e.m. variant. If you paid in the region of $50 and up for it there's no reason to assume it HAS to be dodgy, and a good chance that it's OK. I bought my VS8 on eBay for a decent price (at the time!) and it was just fine.

For example, this one looks fairly genuine

So don't let these old curmudgeons bully you!

P.S. hope it's OK to post a link that's 500 characters long!

Error 2711 is a Windows Installer error indicating that the installer could not find an included feature in the MSI database. This error usually indicates a previously failed installation or update, and it may indicate a corrupted installation cache on the current system.
Try and download/install the CleanUp Utility (msicuu2.exe) from the Microsoft website at http://support.microsoft.com/default.as ... -us;290301
Remove any previous install of Ulead VideoStudio using this utility.
This will solve your problem :)
