Hi there
Does anone know how I can superimpose one video clip over another?
I DON'T want to chromakey - I am after an effect such as you get with a 'crossfade' transition in the middle of the transition, but with a fixed amount of 'merging' of the video.
I can't see anything in the manual or the forum - sorry if I just missed it!
Thanks
Derek

Put one, or maybe both, of the clips on an overlay track. Instead of using the Chroma Key it sounds like you would want to use the Transparency function, found at the same place as the Chroma Key.

I don't seem to have a Transparency function, only a mask function as an alternative to Chroma key - also I am using V10 not V9 (my mistake, changed recently!!)Black Lab wrote:Put one, or maybe both, of the clips on an overlay track. Apart from extending the duration of the transition, as I already suggested, if you have VS10 PPLUS (and not just VS10), then you will have a number of overlay tracks. Just overlay the videos in two different tracks, but placing the second clip above the chosen point in the first, so that the two extremities overlap.
