Post by brett »

I have just purchased ULead Video Studio 11 and I cannot get it to upload my existing video files. The videos i want to edit are formatted in .NRG

The Ulead software keeps giving me this message:

Welcome to the forums,

The *.NRG file is a proprietary Nero Burning ROM file. It is used to create and burn ISO CD images.

You may need to find a utility that can extract the contents. I done a Google search on the NRG file extension and came up with MagicISO. You can read about it, and get it here: http://www.yasasoft.com/press_release/n ... ractor.htm

As you found out, VS does not support that type of file. Since it is similar to and ISO, then at any rate you would need an application like Burn.now, and I'm not sure that Burn.now would recognize it.

You can use Nero to "Mount a Disc Image" (the command is under the icon to the far right, with the green cross, of the Nero 7 control panel). That will then assign a drive letter and you can see the contents of the NRG file as the traditional AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders of a standard DVD. From there, you can access its contents by using the VS "Insert DVD/DVD-VR" command, accessing that new drive letter.
