retrieving pics from camera

HI: I bought a vivitar vivicam camera. I have Photo Express 4.0. I can't figure out how to get the photos from my camera to my pc. I hooked up the USB cord. I opened the Photo express. I pressed get photo, and aquire. All i see is the camera showing my monitor when I hold it in front. Can someone tell me how to retrieve the pics from my camera to my pc. Thankyou Pat

I suggest you read the manual for the camera and find out how to put it into the correct mode for retrieving the pictures.
At present it sounds like you have it in the mode for taking pictures.

You can also check Windows Explorer. Every digital camera that I have connected to one of my computers has automatically created a drive letter for it so that you can drag/drop from the camera to your hard drive.
