Post by aminr »

Hi!
when I want to import a swf file into the movie, it says"file format mismatch" and it does not open any swf file anymore.

You are not wise to put put your email openly in a message like that. It could easily be picked up by by a spambot which trawls the internet looking for exactly that. If one had found it, you would be the target of spam, or more spam than you might currently be getting. I have thus deleted that post (since it only contained your email). In any case, your email can be found in the email button below your posts.

As for your query, that message usually appears when you have updated your flash player on the computer from the version installed by Video Studio. It is a silly problem, given that a lot of websites etc need up-to-date versions of the flash player in order to display properly, and thus may not work well with the older flash plug-in installed by Video Studio. On the other hand, Video Studio itself won't accept flash files if the flash player is updated.

Hopefully Corel will fix this in the next version of the program...

I am use VS10+ and the sample flash animations that came with VS are now "unreadable" (dixit Ulead) and also unusable by VS.
Though, I can see them in my IE-explorer.
Need I to buy a "new" version (and which new version...) because of this silly problem?

There is no new version which corrects the problem, as far as I am aware...

Goto to your original setup files/disc and locate and install
flashplayer7_winax.exe

If you have the original downloaded "exe" files then you can find the above file by opening the "exe" file with winzip.
