Backward compatibility of video studio v 11 plus

I think that VS11+ with the patches, depending on the source videos has better encoding quality compared to the trial version. I've been encoding High Definition video and DV.avi video to dvd mpeg2 format (and other formats).

There is a hugh difference between the trial & the retail with patches for high definition encoding & conversions.

You will have to judge for yourself on this. The dv.avi to mpeg2 conversions I've done with VS11+ & the patches installed came out nice. I do use 100% compression quality when encoding along with fairly high bit-rates.
