Sound but no picture!

Post by biznizmon »

I just got VideoStudio 10 with EasyCap Capture 2.0 USB to transfer video from my vcr to my hard drive to later put on dvd. I have sound, but no real picture. By a real picture I mean my screen is green, but you can see actions being made on the screen like what is being played by the vcr. How can I fix this problem? I am using Windows 2000, NVIDIA GeForce4 MX4000 video card, I have 96gb hard drive, 512 mb of RAM, and Creative AudioPCI as my sound card.
One of the reasons I bought the EasyCap was because my sound card only has output, no input. My sound works great with the EasyCap, but no picture.

You need to be able to use DirectX v9.0c. Don't think WIN 2k supports it. However I could be wrong, but, likely hood of that is very minimal. Update the OS, and you should be good.

If MrA's advice doesn;t sort things out for you and it should...you could also make sure that you are capturing in PAL and your project settings are NOT in NTSC.

I must be missing something here.

Why should the OP make sure he is capturing in PAL?
I do not see anything to indicate whether he is in PAL or NTSC territory.
