WinDVD HD/BD - BD+ playback problem

Post by bytor7 »

I'm having a problem with the playback of a BD+ Blu-ray movie. The movie is Fantastic Four: The Rise of the Silver Surfer. It is a 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 encoded movie and should have all of the decoding done on my 8600GT. However, the CPU usage runs between 80-100%. For comparison, I also played Casino Royale, which is a Blu-ray movie with the same encoding as FF. The CPU usage during that movie averages around 20%, because the 8600 GT is doing the decoding. The only difference between the two is the BD+ protection on FF. HD DVD playback has been perfect. Has anyone else had a similar problem, or a fix for this? Is there going to be an update to address this problem? Any help would be appreciated. Below are the components of my HTPC. I am using the latest WHQL drivers for everything. Thanks.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 800+
ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
2GB RAM Corsair XMS memory
Asus 8600GT
