OK, I got the patches installed and am able to successfully add ACVHD files to my library and timeline. Problem is, while editing in VS playback is very jerky and I'm not sure what to do - it makes it very hard to edit. I downloaded the latest DirectX also (Nov 2007) and it made no difference.
Do I need more RAM to handle these large files (I have 2GB - I think 667 speed). Also, when I play the files within Sony's "Picture Motion Browser" which came with my camera, they play fine. It's only a problem within VS 11.5 while editing.
I should also mention - this is a 1 hour long single clip (of a concert I shot last weekend). Could that be the cause?
***Addendum: I just started a new project with numerous short clips (not one large clip as above) and it seems to play the files in the editor fairly smoothly. That said - how can I edit a large 1 hour long clip??? Is there a way within VisualStudio to split it into numerous shorter clips so the software can handle the file?
Jerky editing playback in VS 11.5 with ACVHD files??? RAM?

Since this has already been addressed in a similar post of yours, I'm locking this thread to avoid confusion.
