looping video/swf/gif in overlay

Post by ghsi »

is there a way to loop a short video or flash or even an animated gif (i'm talking about 0.5 sec to 4~6 sec. original) and make them loop as an overlay (i don't have a problem with the loop effect itself) withot changing the playback speed (for my changing purposes it is important because the result varies).

my target duration varies 4~20 sec.

although i searched this forum for information about looping i could'nt find an answer if it is possible to loop video instead of copy/paste multiple times.
to clarify: i need to use animated objects (outputed as video\flash\gif-whichever) several times in the project with changing durations to hide an area on screen.

other topics that came close to my question but were insufficient:

any help would be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

If you don't want to change the speed, then the only alternative is to have multiple copies of the clip for the duration you desire.

And you don't have to copy and paste. Just drag the one file into the library. Then drag it down when ever you need it on the timeline and make any adjustments unique to the context then.
