Hi guys... I have never had this happen before. I have full versions of Photoimpact 12, Cool 3D, Video studio 11 and media studio pro 8 installed on my computer and work fine. Running windows xp pro sp1. I wanted to check out cool 3D pro so I downloaded it and tried to install it. The install reads the "contents of package" and then goes to " extracting data2.cab" stops and an error report message is displayed. I've downloaded the trial several times, still can't install it. I have NEVER attempted to install this trial before, so what gives ??
Is there a bug in the install file ?
thanks for reply

The file could be corrupted. What error message are you getting? CRC errors could indicate a corrupted file, or can also mean failing memory (RAM).
You can try unpacking the install file, using a zip program like Winzip or Zip Genius. Once unpacked running the setup.exe file to see if it will install.
Also make sure to disable your antivirus, spyware programs while installing.

Cool 3D Pro is marketed by NOVA, the same as PI Pro. Nova modify their code even though it's based on ULEAD products.
I don't know Cool 3D Pro but PI Pro by Nova does not allow you to have any other installation of a different version from Ulead installed at the time.
I also don't know of any trial versions of Nova products. As far as I know, they are only sold in the boxed version and only in the US. Where did you get it from?
If you got it here http://www.mininova.org/tor/932056, I'm afraid you are on your own.

Trial version of Cool 3D pro won't install
Thanks guys for your input. But I believe I've located the problem and installed the trial version and it is working correctly. The answer I believe as to why I could not install it was that windows xp in some way corrupt. Don't know which file caused the problem but I did a windows repair and attempted the install and it worked. I can only assume that something was stopping the install which had to do with windows. Cool 3D is a nice program, now all I have to do is learn it, and then purchase the full version. Again thanks.......
