Books on VideoStudio 11
Are there any books on VideoStudio 11? I've checked on Amazon (which is always a good start) and couldn't find anything.

Charlie Hills has an excellent range of books available. There is one for MediaStudioPro 8 but the last one for VideoStudio is for version 9.

Don't know why Charlie has not continued this series of "Getting Results" books for VS after version 9. I also don't use either version of VS and cannot judge whether the Getting Results with VS 9 would be of any use to you.
A lot of people are using VS though and I'm sure someone will be able to shed some light on this.

Charlie stopped after version 9 because it simply got too time consuming and I think he may have been getting hassle of his wife for neglect!!
Charlie doesn't just look at what VideoStudio can do but goes a bit deeper and gives lots of hints and tips about getting things right in the filming stage.
Think of it like this (using a still image as an example) - instead of spending an age removing unwanted material from a photograph, it is better to make sure unwanted stuff isn't there in the first place.
Although we are now on Version 11.5 you should find the content of VS9 a good starting point.

The manual is perfectly adequate for getting started. However, a good book on any piece of software will provide you with extra information and hints as well as being easier to read (and in the case of VideoStudio 11 probably rather larger2Dogs wrote:I don't think there are. What's wrong with the manual, though?
There's always this forum too.
I find the forum very good and have already had some useful replies. However, like all forums getting a useful reply can be a matter of pot luck.

A bit of quick googling showed that the book was only available as a CD-ROM or download from the US. However as it only costs $9.95 and with the current extremely advantageous Pound - Dollar exchange rate this was an offer I couldn't refuse. So, I've downloaded it and it's cost me less than a fiver!heinz-oz wrote:Charlie Hills has an excellent range of books available.
