I'm using my video track for the picture (and ambient sound), and the first audio track for the recorded voice of our tour guide (taken from other videos I took). In the second track I'm using background music I imported from a commercial CD. I've done this many times before, but NOW, when I play back the combination, the background music cannot be heard. I've checked all sound levels, etc. When I play ONLY that track, I can hear the music perfectly. I have tried "trading tracks" with the music and the narration, but still the music is not audible. I must have changed something in VideoStudio 11.5 to cause this, but cannot figure it out. Any ideas??
Thanks in advance.

Is the soundtrack an MP3 or a WAV? Some people have problems with certain types of MP3s. Converting them to WAVs usually fixes the problem.

I think I have solved it. Somehow, as I adjusted volume, I would lower the SAME track more than once, but didn't perceive that I was doing it. Therefore, a track that looked as if I should be hearing it, was really at a lower level. I solved the problem by raising the volume first, but then decided the prudent thing to do was to re-import the music. (It was .wav, by the way). Thanks for the trouble.
