Combine 2 projects?

Post by jonnydanger »

Hello.

I have 2 video projects which I would like to merge together into 1 video project.

I did create a video from 1 project then tried to add that video to the second project however I loss a lot of quality.

I would like to add 2 existing projects into a single large project.

Please let me know if anyone knows how to do that.

Thanks for your help.

If you still have the VideoStudio Project files (vsp) plus all of the original material intact in the original locations, then instead of rendering a new video from the first project - add the vsp project file instead. You import it in the same way as a rendered video. This means that the combined project will have only been rendered once rather than a part of it being rendered twice.

I would like to merge two PROJECT into one ( not two videos. that means the combined new projects have all the timelines Items of the two projects intact).

I tried different ways, but not seem working.

Now I have both in VSP. format, how do I do it.

I don't get it the answer by sjj1805: VideoStudio Project files (vsp) plus all of the original material intact in the original locations, then instead of rendering a new video from the first project - add the vsp project file instead.

What do you mnean addVSP file, to where? could you tell me on the Videostudio, which FUNCTION ( like FIle INSERT TIMELINE VIDEO. )

Hi

A Video Studio Project as the initials suggest uses the file extension VSP.

It’s a relatively small file containing the details of the timelines content.
Viewing the project allows us to see the entire content, this allows us to change or edit them.

Nesting
A process called nesting provides the means to add a project file within another project. In the same way that you would add any video clip. (Right click timeline and select Insert Video—then select a VSP) The nested file (VSP) will be displayed as a single clip. Althouigh the nested file can be opened in its own right it should not be edited whilst being nested. You may receive strange File Mismatch errors.
---------------------------------
You are asking if there is any way to add the entire individual details of a project to another.
I am afraid the answer is No.
I am sure it may be quite useful to be able to copy and paste from one project to another, but this option has never been available.

However you can copy the clips to the library and they will retain the edits within the clip, Then drag back to a new/different project, unfortunately you cannot copy the transitions.
But the whole project as individual clips, sorry afraid not.
