I was wondering if anyone has installed the upgrade (from VS8 to VS9)?
I installed the (upgrade VS8) last year from the full version of VS7. I removed VS7 after installing the (Upgrade VS8). I will be installing the
(Upgrade VS9) version now. Has anyone done this and if you have could you please leave instructions on the board on how to install from a VS8 Upgrade to a VS9 Upgrade. Thank you very much in advance for any help.

Denise,
If you let the VS9 installer locate things where it wants to, it will create separate folders for everything in VS9 - e.g., Ulead Systems\Video Studio 9.0\ etc.
If you have an extensive Library of special library folders, you can move those files to the VS9 Library location. There are 2 .dat files: VS_Video.dat and VS_Image.dat in Docs & Settings\<user name>\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Ulead Video Studio\8.0 that you can copy to folder "\9.0"
If you do this, your 9.0 Library will forget the stock video clips and images that were placed there by the VS9 installer but you can reload them later.

VideoStudio 9 upgrade from VS8
I installed version 9 last night. I haven't uninstalled version 8 yet. According to the instructions, once you install 9, you can uninstall 8. By uninstalling 8, you will delete some program files that you need for 9, but it says that after you do the 8 uninstall, go to windows add/remove under the control panel feature of windows. Go down to where you see Ulead VideoStudio 9, highlite it, and click repair and it will reinstall the files.
They also said if you have any projects, to back them up to another folder.
