Install problem: MS Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1 Pack

Post by LoverOfJoy »

I just bought VideoStudio 11+ and tried to install it on my XPSP2.

It came up with this message:
VideoStudio requires that the following requirements be installed on your computer prior to installing this application. Click OK to begin installing these requirements:

Status
Pending

Requirement
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1 Package (x86)
There wasn't an OK to click...just Install or Cancel. If I click install it attempts to install until a window pops up that says:
The installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1 Package (x86) appears to have failed. Do you want to continue the installation? (yes/no)
So far I've clicked no because I don't want to install it without needed components only to have the software always be buggy.

I checked in my control panel under Add/Remove programs and it appears I have Visual C++ 2005 installed but not SP1.

Is there something I should do to get C++ installed first or should I just continue the VideoStudio install and ignore the error?
