How to get started?!

Post by deeadeed »

I got this software and device today and I dont know where to begin!

I need the device to record my Xbox360 game play for a university project that i am doing.

I thought it would be as simple as installing and plugging in but that doesnt seem to be the case, i have no picture when i go onto the 'capture' part of the software.

I am using a pal xbox and my computer is really modern and cost a lot of money so is definatly up to the job.

Please help.

Many thanks

That's like calling an appliance repairman and saying my "thing" doesn't work. What kind of service do you think you would get? Are you talking about a refrigerator, washing machine, or a toaster?

Go back to the link Blacklab provided, re-read it and then post back with all the information it asks for.

In VS8 click on the :?: , and select About VideoStudio, you will probably find that your Version is VS-8 SE, correct? I'm just guessing, that it came bundled free with your EasyCap. This is not uncommon for hardware manufacturers to include outdated software with their devices. Yes, VS8 is considered a phased-out version. That does not mean that you can not still use it.

If your EasyCap came with some other software for capturing, it is suggested to use that software to capture/transfer video to your PC. Then use the included VideoStudio to edit. Several of the members use several different products throughout the entire process.
