I have a widescreen Mini-DVD camcorder. When I import the DVD that I've recorded into my 16:9 project, the resulting .mpg files do not play at 16:9 in an external player (Windows Media Player and RealPlayer). According to Gspot (video information viewer) they are in proper 16:9 DVD format. They also look fine playing in VideoStudio, but it concerns me that they do not play that way in other players.
When I import the same DVD into Cyberlink PowerDirector, it plays correctly (16:9) in external players.
Is this something I should be worried about?
Thanks,
Richard

I should clarify want happens in my files. I'll render a DVD compliant Mpeg file(16:9 or 4:3) and WMP plays them fast but everything else plays them fine.richlux wrote:Well, it's not just Windows Media player that does this. I've tried a number of players and they all do the same thing.

While not exactly the same as your problem yours it seems you might be having issues with aspect ratios and how each player displays them.
