Post by bybys »

Hello

I've just downloaded VS11 plus TBYB and now I`m trying to make some DVD disk. All is o.k. but i can not see the disc preview. All i see on the black "preview window" is the record "Press "Play" button to start preview" .After i press the button i see the progress bar shortly and nothing more happens.

what`s wrong.

thanks in advance

Have you upgraded your DirectX to the very latest version? You will find it on the Microsoft DirectX website, and it is dated November 2007. You will already probably have version 9.0c if you are using XP. The latest patch will not change that version number, but it will add quite a lot of new aspects to it, one of which seems to solve the No Preview question, and possibly also the chapter question as well.

YES That's It!! Direct-X!!! Thank you sooo much for the answer! I have been struggling with this for a few days now. I just freshly installed Win7-64bit and had no idea what was going wrong! [I am using VS12 still since I can't stand the newest 2 versions!] Thanks again!

I'm also glad yyou got it working! Unfortunately, DirectX must be updated manually as it is not part of the customary windows update process. So people shouldn't assume they have the latest build, even if they have the latest version. Moreover, the update applies to all recent versions of DirectX: 9.0c for XP, 10 for Vista and 11 for Win 7...
