VS11 Full Spectrum / New Standard automusic

Post by terry dennis »

I have recently upgraded from VS9 to VS11.

I have 26 music categories in 'Full Spectrum' , two of which (Mozart Night and Underwater) give an error message saying "Please insert the Smartsound Library CD 'Full Spectrum 22k !! I do not understand what to do. What CD is being referred to and what action should be taken ?

'New Standard' also contains 26 categories of music BUT 17 of them are duplicates of what is contained in 'Full Spectrum' !! This is a bit daft so is there any way that the two files can be combined so as to do away with the duplicated music categories ??

It's asking you to re-insert the VS installation CD so you can re-install the SmartSound tracks.

The duplicated libraries are subject of a lot of complaints by users of smart sound applications especially where you have 22k and also 44k versions of a sound file. This is down to the manufacturers of smart sound and not the companies who include smart sound in their products
Ulead (Corel)
Avid
Pinnacle
Cyberlink
Adobe.

You might be lucky and find one or two work rounds at the

Jeff

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately , I re-inserted the disc to re-install the two missing music categories and it didn't make any difference.
