Well, here I am again, with another crash-and-burn when trying to render a DVD.
Don't know how much I can tell you. All patches are on. The 2-videos I am rendering are DivX encoded. Media Clip properties says:
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Frame-based
(DVD-NTSC), 16:9
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 7000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)
After the convert/burn process runs for about 55-minutes and then gives me the blue/white application crash box - do you want to send this to M$.
The event log says:
Faulting application dvdmf.exe, version 6.0.0.0, faulting module ulppmgr.dll, version 8.0.0.0, fault address 0x00002fbf.
The burnflow.txt file says:

Tried this on 2-different machines with 4-different files. Must be something in this set of files that is causing some kind of hearburn for DVDMF6+
DVDMF6+ Crash and Burn when rendering
Just to be clear, you are not trying to make a DivX disc... You are trying to convert a DivX file to a regular MPEG-2 DVD, right? The 2-videos I am rendering are DivX encoded. Media Clip properties says:
Movie Factory does have trouble editing/converting some DivX, Xvid, MOV, and other highly compressed files. It may depend on the format details or encoding quality... Some people don't have trouble with their particular DivX files.
You might try using a 3rd-party program to convert these files to DVD-compatible MPEG-2. The following programs are FREE!
SVCD 2 DVD MPG (Claims to convert almost anything to DVD format... not just SVCD)
SUPER (A "universal" conversion program.)
