As soon as you get a dual-layer burner... If everything's working properly, the burner's firmware should report it's cababilities to the driver, and the driver should report to Movie Factory.
Export

- Video: MPEG-1, MPEG-2, DV AVI, AVI, WMV-SD, ASF, QuickTime (MOV, QT)
- Audio: LPCM, MPEG Audio (MPA), Dolby Digital Stereo
- Image: BMP, JPG
- Disc: DVD (DVD-Video, DVD+VR, DVD-VR), miniDVD, VCD, SVCD

- Media: CD-R/CD-RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD+RW, DVD+R/-R
(Single/Double Layer) / DVD-RAM (CPRM)
Click for Movie Factory Features

What about a USB DVD drive ,which says on the outside it is a Double layer?
Is there way for mf6 to recognize a USB drive?

The drive is a Sony Dru-810a.

I have no idea why the driver and Movie Factory aren't communicating.

If the burner came with some other burning software, and that if that works, I can give you a work-around. There is a way to "burn" your Movie Factory project to your hard drive, and then you can burn the files to an actual DVD:

When you get to the burn screen, check the box that says Create DVD Folders, and un-check the box that says Create to disc. Then, use your other software to burn the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS files to a DVD. (Set-up your burning software to make a "video DVD", or the files may end-up in the wrong physical sequence.)
