That's not a message you would / should be seeing with the full version of VideoStudio -- my guess is you are talking about the time-limited trial version. The trial license manager could well have a problem with some programs, such as a debugger that would allow an experienced software engineer to inspect or bypass the license manager.
That being said, I also know of a problem with the SafeDisc copy-protection engine that falsely detected one particular system utility as a debugger. The utility was one that periodically saved the computer's system state (all running programs and open documents) to disk so that it could be restored in the event of a system crash.
So you don't necessarily need to have a debugger installed to see such a message, but all of this still does assume that you have a trial version of UVS.
