Sorry but there is no real update. Video Studio 12 is now out and a lot of AVCHD camera owners are still having trouble -- though not the same as you.

One question I asked earlier you never really answered -- can you burn DVDs using other programs on your computer? Or do you have trouble with every program as well as Video Studio?

I see you have now tried creating an ISO file but that failed too. Did you have a blank DVD in the burner at that time? If so, don't put a DVD in the burner at all. You should be able to create an ISO file -- or, as I do, a DVD folder. When I do that, I then burn it to DVD using Nero. But I do it that way because I usually make a number of copies of my DVDs for distribution to family and friends, and it is easier that way.

Thanks for your help Ken.

To answer your question, yes, I can burn DVD as well as CD thru Roxio software. Also, I was able to copy DVD thru copy DVD 6 software from corel.

About creating ISO file, I tried creating ISO without having blank DVD in the burner. But that too did not work. I have not tried creating DVD folder. I'll give a try for that too.

Is there some kind of log file or so which might give more details about the problem? Or any settings which will generate log information?

Thanks,
-Shailendra

One more point for reference.

I'm not able to create any format disc from "create disc" menu. Even if I select VCD, HD-DVD, DVD etc. I get the same error. I get the error instantly after progress bar is completely finished within 1 second. So it looks like something is missing or some setting is making it to error out even before it tries to put all the information in dvd or cd format.

For debugging this problem I had un-installed and re-installed Corel DVD Copy 6. Now it asks for serial number. Earlier I had serial number which expired within 10 days. On re-installation, it is working with trial version serial number. How do I get serial key again?

Thanks,

If your copy of DVD Copy 6 was part of a package and not bought as a separate product then you have to install it via the setup.exe program for the main program. Do not go through the sub-directories to the DVD Copy 6 folder and run the setup.exe you find there.
