VS11.5+: Load Directly to YouTube?

Post by Clevo »

Greetings Folks,

I'm having a problem working out how to test one of the new features in VS11.5+.

I quote:

Upload directly to YouTube™
Encode and upload videos directly to YouTube™ from within the VideoStudio 11 program.

I created a 3:23 video I slapped together in 10 minutes especially to try the new feature of uploading directly to YouTube.

I'm still scratching my head how to accomplish this.

For the first time I clicked on Share/Online but all I get is a pop-up to a video site that doesn't appeal to me (not completely free).

Has anyone tried loading directly to Youtube and willing to share with me how it's done?

I had to do it the old fashioned way to do this:

This is possible from within VS.
You first will create your video file. Pressing the Share Video Online, should produce 2 options, Neptune and YouTube. Selecting YouTube provides several templates. Choosing one of the templates, or custom, you name your video file, and it is created. Following that, you should be presented with a series of dialog windows about uploading to YouTube, which are primarily for permission to upload, and if you do not have a YouTube account, creating one. The final screen is then to actually upload it.

I done the following clip within the last 10 minutes, including uploading via a snail's pace wi-fi connection..;)

Not sure exactly what you did. But I just put some clips in my timeline then went to Share > Share Video On-line and I got the choice between Neptune and You Tube. In choosing the latter, I am then presented with a choice of quality for a .wmv. But at the bottom, there is also a command 'Browse for a WMV file to upload'.

So if you have already prepared a .wmv, simply point your browser there. A new window will appear asking if you are already a member of You Tube and seeking authorisation.

If you have not already prepared a .wmv, then you would select one of the formats to prepare your file. Then go through it again and this time select 'Browse for...' and follow the prompts.

I just did one...VideoStudio 11.5 Export to YouTube/Cool3DPS on Vista OK not very exciting but it was to test out a couple of things.

Simply go to the [Share] tab and select [Share Video Online] and you will now see a new option for YouTube.
Select the quality you want and then it leads you through a few things.
Firstly it renders the video to your hard drive - prompting you for a filename and somewhere to save it.
You are then prompted to either create a new YouTube account if you don't have one already, or if you do it loads up Youtube. YouTube then asks you to allow the Corel Program to have permission to upload videos to your user account. After that your are prompted for a title, description and keywords, finally your video is uploaded.
