Autosave feature won't save after Restarting program PI12

The autosave is always on when I start Photoimpact.
Even though I turn it off in preferences/general/open&save.

The next time I start the program....it is on again and always at 5 minutes.

I can't get the thing to go away permanently.

Did you save a profile under a different name and made that the default?

I have set up a profile under my name and modified this to suit my needs. PI starts up using that profile and I don't have a problem. I have, however, never used PI in its standard configuration for any period of time and don't know if the behavior you get can be considered "normal"

I'm not using any saved profiles.
And the autosave is always checked for "5 minutes" when I start version 12.

No it's not a "bug" as it is not consistent across numerous peoples computers. I certainly don't have this issue, and I think Heinz stated he doesn't have this problem.
