Multi-core processing of video files - ADBJester locked out

Post by ruggy1 »

Why is this thread locked out? I have been complaining about the lack of parallel processing for years. As ADBjester inferred and I have said previously in this forum, this whole 'Dual Core' thing is a sham meant to hide the fact that Intel hit a brick wall with processing speed 4 years ago. How many of us want to do more than one CPU intense task at a time, I would estimate zero. My old P4 3.4GHz is still the fastest way to render video and it is getting old! Unless software companies come to the party and do what ADBjester and I have been saying for ages, that is, split rendering across multiple CPUs to actually use the multiple cores, we will tread water for years to come. I would not mind paying more for a true parallelised version as it would cut my rendering workload considerably. What about it Corel???

Corel do not routinely monitor this forum but they do check the Wish List Post. Thank you.
