Testing after Power Pack upgrade

I noticed after the upgrade that VS11+ seems to be running faster on my machine, so I thought I would do a quick project to DVD.

Started Video Studio Editor
Project Properties
NTSC drop frame (29.97 fps)
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
LPCM Audio, 48000 Hz, Stereo

I grabbed a 12min 19sec 2.47GB video captured in Dv format and threw it into the time line and selected "Not to change the Properties to match video properties" and "No Smartrender"

Went to creat DVD
Motion Menu using Smartscene Menu 05vs_OneS14, No audio
Using Sony DVD+RW disk

Project Settings for the burn
MPEG files
24 bits, 720 x 480, 29.97 fps
Lower Field First
(DVD-NTSC), 4:3
Video data rate: Variable (Max. 8000 kbps)
Audio data rate: 256 kbps
Dolby Digital Audio, 48 KHz, 2/0(L,R)

From start to finish Render Menu and movie and DVD format and burn 7min 54sec.

I don't about the rest of you, but I am very happy and pleased so far with
my experience with VS11+

I've noticed a performance increase too and I went straight from project to share.

Will do some more testing though. And yes...I'm happy.

I am just a little confused as to whether you are installing the power pack or the patch.

I tried to keep up with the thread on this and I thought I had it nailed, but now I am not so sure. Which was it? The patch or the power pack which seems to be two different entities.

Isn't that a bit academic? you need to install both the patch and the upgrade.
