Difference flash based on Jpeg or Bmp?

Can someone explain the difference between flash based on Jpeg or BMP?

Are there other advantages to flash opposed to Gif then the color qualities?

Basically the difference is the quality. JPEG is a lossy compression, and Bitmap (BMP) is a slightly compressed format.

Another difference is that JPEG does not support alpha channel (transparency), and bitmap does..
