Need help - cutting out small VS10+ segments

Post by ruggy1 »

I am sure I have done this before but cannot remember how. So please help an old guy with fading memory. I need to cut small segments out of a VS10+ project to convert to Utube. I have the Utube format but when I try to cut a small 4 minute segment out of my VS10+ project using the [ and ] symbols, VS10+ ignores my cuts and gives me a complete render of the whole project. I know it is is me, but would appreciate someone putting me back on track again. Thanks

I'm not sure how you're cutting, but am guessing that you're using the scissor tool, correct? If so, once you have cut the segment(s) are you then deleting the cut out parts? Check your timeline, on all overlay tracks to ensure that any unwanted clips have been deleted before rendering.
