Hi, I've been trying to save a gradient fill but can't work out how to do it I would like to store about five or six different gradient fills so that I can just select an object, then click on something, and it will automatically create the chosen gradient fill. Currently I have to manually write down the hex for the colour, manually open the gradient fill dialog box and adjust the two colours by hand, every time I want to change the gradient colours. Is there an easier way than this? I thought I might be able to use the EasyPalette, but I couldn't find an 'add to easyPalette' icon in the Gradient Fill dialog.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. (I did a search of this forum but couldn't find a solution, sorry).
Saving Gradient Fills for instant recall, or copying?
I'm getting a little close but am still stumped:
I select a character, then right click and select 'Edit attributes', then I right click on the colour square in the top left hand corner of the screen, and choose 'Add color to gradient'. Then I can give the gradient fill a name.
But after that, I don't know how to access that gradient fill again - I'm stumped. I presume I should be able to see the gradient fills that I've named, somewhere.

I've found out how to do what I wanted - I clicked on the 'Color Panel' icon on the right hand of the screen, then click the lower left icon 'Add Gradient', then I can see the gradient fill of the currently selected character, and name it, and add it to the Color Panel.
I wonder what the 'Add Color to Gradient' command was doing? I added two gradients, called 'Red 1' and 'Blue 1' - I wonder where they've gone?

Hi Sisom,
Hopefully this tutorial will help you do what you're wanting:

Thanks for the link to that tutorial, that's explained just what I wanted, but I have one last problem - when I use the Colour Panel, it always applies the gradients horizontally, even though I saved them from a vertically applied gradient - is there any way to force it to apply the gradient fill vertically? It's not that much of a problem if this isn't possible, I just found it odd that it didn't automatically save the direction and type of fill too.
