Ulead VideoStudio 11.5 Plus /Power Pack/Media 1

Post by sjj1805 »

The other two forum discussion links have become broken - possibly someone may have posted a large screen shot. Because they simply hang and never open I have now deleted them.

There is a new update pack dated 8 November 2007.

It leads you to the member log on screen on the Corel Website from where you can download a file
UVS11_Plus_ESD_ENG_PowerPack.exe 55,218 KB
The other update has a filename
UVS11_Patch_Eng.exe 27,673 KB
Image

BOTH must be downloaded and installed.

(Post Edited by myself 9 Nov 2007 - sorry for any earlier confusion, the one dated 8 Nov 2007 is not a replacement for the one dated 6 Nov 2007)

If going through the UK corel site, you will also have a download link for MediaOne plus.

I guess we can continue the long thread in this one since the other is broken.

Sektionschef,

Some time ago, you started another long thread about titles creating distortions when smart render was ON. I experienced distortions issues at the end of transitions on some of my projects. I have a DVD cam. Last night, I was testing the new VS11 patch. I was surprised to see that with smart render ON, the rendering of a problematic project in the past was now just fine. No more distortions.

Can you redo some of your tests to confirm that or I am missing somethhing?

is there any dependency on the VS11 Patch for VS11 Power Pack?

And after installed this VS11 Power Pack, it is equally to the coming VS11.5?

Hi DLA
Sounds promising!
Did you retest the transition issue just with the VS11 update patch or with the VS11.5 update?
Can you please post a screenshot like sjj1805 did in this thread that we can verify the exact software versions?
I will let you know my results soon.

Regards

The power pack is 11.5. In your VS, click ? and check the version number. It will be 11.5.0157.2

I tested only with the patch, not the update pack. I downloaded the update pack only this morning. I will retest tonight with the update pack to see if smart render is still fixed. I am not home now. I will try to post tonight my version number (patch only) where I had smart render working fine.

Well, now I'm really confused. Registered user for the full version of UVS11Plus downloaded (and paid) for the upgrade version of UVS115Plus, 320 Mb (total with bonus files: 800 Mb).
The version number is 11.5.0157.1 Plus.
Now you mention a patch for UVS11Plus with version number 11.5.0157.2, with 55Mb. I wonder what have I paid for.

For that size difference, it must be content. Do you have new menu templates and other sample videos ?

DLA,
are you sure your VS version after installing the patch is 11.5.0157.2?
Shouldn't it be 11.0.0157.2?

As said, I am not home. I took 11.5 from Steve's screenshot to answer wai2 question. With the patch only, my version should be 11.0.xyz. I will know tonight.

Another correction I found is the possibility to enter special character in titles, at least the french special characters I frequently use worked.

My question is about cost. The upgrade version was paid. The main file has 320 Mb and can only be installed over UVS11Plus. The version is 11.5.0157.1 Plus.
As far as I understand, the patch (52 Mb) shown by sjj1805 is free, and version number is 11.5.0157.2. Confusing isn¡¦t it?

Just looking at the UK site, it seems that the upgrade is for VS version 10 and below..... Is this not true? :?

All this upgrade, version, patch seems quite confusing.
TODAY we can see at European sites, both a version 11.5 Plus and an upgrade for version 11 Plus. (Apparently the patch available at European sites redirects to USA site.)
At American sites, we can see a version 11 Plus and an upgrade.
Yesterday and Tuesday situation was not exactly as today.
Looking through the sites, it¡¦s not clear that version 11.5 Plus in Europe might be the same as version 11 Plus, patched, in USA.
Am I wrong or this is not a very good customer service?

Oh this is just great. The Corel website login refuses to recognise my login details. And the password reminder denies that they know my email address at all.
Is this a known problem with old Ulead logins?
