Can anyone advise on the best course of action? My goal: Smooth and glitch-free, reasonably fast capturing/editing/burning of HDV.
I have a 2 year-old HP laptop which seems to be struggling to do the job.
Would adding a fast external hard drive improve things? Or would I be better off buying a new duo-core, faster, more powerful computer?
If so, what are the minimum requirements?
