That one will present a challenge to the others. Think I'll give up!

Thanks for the positive comments but I'm very sure there will be lots better than my amateur effort.

Thanks for the glimpse of Leeds Girly.

As an ex-Harrogate lad (57, I left when I was 14) it's nice to see anything of Yorkshire.

Good luck in the competition.

Thanks to all for your comments. I feel a bit alone now as I posted this early because of a request from Corel but looking forward to not being the only one.

Come on people, hurry up and post yours.

Sadly I have no short films they are all well over 35 minutes each and are normally a set of 5-6 DVD's, I could load one small excerpt but dont know which one to do, after watching yours I think I am a complete amateur now! :?

So you have a camcorder, a digital camera, or some photos that may fit the topic? Then you can still enter the contest. Just go out and shoot some video, or take some pictures of your town. Create a short video/slideshow using VS. I would hope that there would be more "amateur" videographers/photographers enter than professional. ;)

The prizes that Corel has put up are not cheap ones, and should have helped entice many entries. If this contest fails to draw more then just a couple entries, then I wonder if we will be presented with another opportunity?

Edited:
I forgot to compliment you on your video,

That is a very well done video. Good luck in the competition :)

As things stand at the moment there are a total of 10 prizes on offer.
The first prize is a rather expensive Nintendo Wii games console.
These are hard to get hold of in the U.K. - my wife ordered one last year as a Christmas Present for myself and I didn't get it until May due to the heavy demand for these consoles.

This year my Sister in law wanted to buy one for her children as a Christmas Present. They are out of stock everywhere. Fortunatley she went on Holiday last week to Lanzarote and managed to get hold of one.

Currently with only one entrant to the competition there are another 9 prizes on offer. Therefore unless there is a sudden last minute rush of entries - simply entering the competition will mean you get a prize.

The theme of this competition is such that ANYONE can enter.
You can use a camcorder and create a movie, if you dont own a camcorder then use a digital camera or even scanned pictures and create a slide show. You don't even have to travel very far - it is your own area that you are making a short documentary about.

Come on guys and gals - make the effort. Corel have been kind enough to provide some very good prizes for this competition. If there is a poor number of entries then it is possible that Corel will not do so again in the future.

Mine is almost done.... need a couple of more shots some more sound... tidy up the edits.... all last minute rushing no doubt.

Is it ok to mentione here when it's up and done and e-mail sent or should I wait till entry confirmed by e-mail then announce on this section of forum.

Many thanks, please post a link to it here when done and also send an email to literature1111@hotmail.com
Corel will then forward a copy of your email to myself for confirmation that your entry has been created with VideoStudio &/or MovieFactory.
Thank you.
