HELP PLEASE! Unable to create a disc (DVD)

Post by 4hDad »

Folks,

I'd appreciate a hand on this.

I am trying to create a DVD for a relatively small project (1.7 GB).

I do everything the tutorial ask you to do. I click the burn disc button and it begins to load the progress bars. Invariably 2-3 minutes into the rendering I get the message: Insuficient Memory. I attempted to solve this by increasing the size of the allowable Paging File Size to Initial Size 1500 MB, Maximum Size 3500 MB, from the 192 MB and 384 MB at which the paging file was set. The 1500 and 3500 MB are much higher than what is recommended. They recommend the Paging File size to be 1.5 times the size of your RAM wich is 128 MB.

I am using Ulead Video Studion 11.

I tried a much smaller project (a 2-minute movie) and I am getting the Ulead Video Studio Message: Unspecified Error. After I get either message I click OK, subsequently, Ulead Video Studio shuts itself down.

Thoughts please.

First we need to clarify some things.
Is 128mb of RAM the correct amount?
What operating system are you using?

Regardless of the OS which has a bearing also of course, 128 MB of RAM is not going to get you far. Please fill in your system data and let's see what you have got and what you might have to get if you are serious about video editing.

If you look at the computer system requirements for VS11, you will see that the minimum amount of RAM required is 512 MB, and that 1 GB is recommended. So if you have only 128 MB of RAM, there endeth the story...
