Which HD Format will work with Media Extender and XBOX 360?
I own a HD Sony HDR-HC7 camcorder. I have an XBOX 360 and a PC running Vista Ultimate. I have Media Extender set up. I have used the Sony software to capture content to PC. I can open in VideoStudio and manipulate. My understanding is that XBOX 360 uses WMV file format. But when I try to save a project to WMV HD 1080 30p I get a very small low quality video. I am confused. What format should I be using?

VS is usually pretty reliable in recognising the installation of the WM9 series encoders. I would either re-install the encoders and see if VS finds them or re-install VS to see if it then finds them.
The other altenative is to directly use the WM9 encoders by directly using the Windows Media Encoder from the start menu.

In Vista I've been using Windows Movie Maker 6 & converting the HighDef 1440x1080i files to HD-WMV.
I burn the hd-wmv videos to a dvd-r disk and these files play fine on a XBOX360 from it's dvd player.
Windows Movie Maker 6 has pre-built templates, one says XBOX, I think the bit-rate is about 7.6MBS for the Xbox360 template. I used the 8MBS 1440x1080i template and they played but probably the 7.6MBS Xbox360 template would play a little smoother.
