I've erased Studio Quartet.

Post by Gift »

Yes. I've always used all ulead software for my work. MediaStudio, worshop and Photoimpact basically.
Now it's over. No more bucks from me to ulead or whatever it's called now. Several years of work, learning all this software, for nothing.

I've purchased Sony Vegas Video, the most similar to MediaStudio that I've found. It's hard to say, but ulead treat us like stupids.

Bye all folks for your help on this forum for so long.

What in the world does your rant have to do with Microsoft Vista :?:, which happens to be the forum you have posted to...

Anyway, good bye and good luck..

Nothing to do with suggested fixes for Vista problems.
Moved to MediaStudio - at least that's where his other 6 posts reside.

My turn to rant. Obviously he/she never learned the first rule of editing. "never rely on one product for everything". That rule applies to everything about video, from equipment to software. It also applies to editing logic, i.e., think outside the box.

I have no clue what problems this person has had in the past, but, I know what frustration they must be enduring. It's a learning curve, not just with software, but, with video editing and production as a whole.

It takes a lot of patience and trial and error to make a video. (if you are new to the concept). Yes, products like VS10 or VS11 make it easier to make a great video, but, it does go deeper than that.

MSP takes it a step further. I personally found the learning curve to be quite minor, compared to other products I already own, such as, Final Cut Pro.

My point is, I'll use whatever it takes to make a quality video, whether what brand, what platform, whatever it takes to get the end result.

Thanks for sharing that with us

I wish you luck in your future endeavors. You are going to need that if you are going put as much effort into the new software as you so obviously have put into this one.

Vegas is very similar, for it great deal fastest. Damage that does not have some capability MediaStudio because there would be super.

Lack of stability MediaStudio, and other errors slowly begin disqualifying it program. There is corpse at lack of evolution already.

I like MediaStudio but does not have sentiments in business. Unfortunately, my faith ULEAD and COREL has expired .

I agree, MSP8 is simply a tool to do a job.
In my opinion it does aspects of that job very well, and as such is still a useful tool, despite the uncertain future.
To bring it up into competition with some of the bigger players would no doubt be superfluous, given it's tiny market share, and would require enormous investment.
I've made the leap to a new editor with a more certain future and more powerful features, but MSP8 is still very much a valuable tool in my arsenal, despite no longer being the most used.
Would you throw away your old perfectly working power saw, just because you bought a new model with a laser guided cutting system?

My sentiments exactly, just look at my signature block and you will see that I own AND USE a wide variety of video editing software. You use whichever item of software is most suited to the particular job in hand at that time.

There is no need to restrict yourself to the (non existent) all in one super dooper does everything program.

I agree with the majority. MSP8 is my tool of preference, because it is so flexible and you can do a lot of things comparitively quickly, but I use other tools as well as necessary to try and achieve a final result when MSP8 doesn't fit the bill (and perhaps those using programmes like Vegas do the same in reverse).
Thanks & regards.
