To change resolution of 360 x 243 for 720 x 480 pixels.

Post by paulinho »

I have several movies "Quick Time Movie", with the resolution of 360 x 243 pixels.
I would like to increase this resolution for 720 x 480 pixels, you know some software that makes this conversion.
In the reality I would like to insert these fimes as background in "Ulead COOL 3D Production Studio"
All of the screens of presentation of the movies I do with the resolution 720 x 480.

Thanks

I don't think you'll be happy with the results of anything that enlarges a video 200%. I would imagine the resulting video would be extremely pixelated and not satisfactory for your project.

I could be wrong, and if I am PLEASE post here what you used and how it came out.

Good luck,

You are absolutely correct. :D You never want to reencode a video at all let alone go up encode then import into 3-D to be encoded yet again....if avoidable of course. The less you mess with it the better the final product will be.

Anyhow since it's unavoidable 3-D will do this for you. From the attribute panel select background from the drop down box on the top. From the Background mode drop down box below that select video which should open up a dialog box to select your video. After you select it by default (at least it is for me) it should fill the entire background regardless of the size of your video or the project dimensions. If it doesn't there is two buttons below and to the right of the background mode selection box. Selecting the one to the right will tile the video, selecting the one to left will resize the project dimensions to fit the background video size.

So if the tile button is not selected and you haven't hit the resize button it should fill the entire background of whatever your project settings are. If you have it tiled deselecting the tile button will cause the video to be viewed at the full dimensions of the project settings. If your project settings have been resized to fit the video manually changing them to whatever you desire should cause the video to be displayed at full screen or tiled depending on whatever position the tile button is in.
