I am using V3.0. 1.6 Ghz machine, 512 MB, w/ about 5 GB free
on the hard disk. I am trying to write a 400 MB slide show to disk. As it is preparing for the burn, it always crashes during the disc image stage.
I split my slide show into multiple parts and got some of them to burn - so this would seem to suggest that the problem is somewhat memory related. Here's the strange thing...I burned one CD w/o problem - the file size was about 180 MB. I tried to burn another with a file that was 60 MB in size and it would crash every time at the disk imaging stage. I've also noticed that the file size is much bigger than the actual size of all the combined pictures.
I've done all the obvious stuff...defragmented, closed all processes, etc.
Help!

If you are burning into a DVD+RW, then click the "Format DVD+RW" check box on the Output Options dialog box and try again, sometimes this will solve the problem.
About the wrong calculated required disc space, the new released 5in1 support pack can correct the required disc space problem; you can download it and try again:
