Have Videostudio 11. Trying to insert a title or text between video clips. Will work if over video, but I wish to to add a title or text in between video clips with plain background. The first title is ok, but but video clips will not move along video track to make spaces for plain background text in between. Looks like it can be done by moving everything onto overlay track, but surely this is not the correct way ?
Can easily be done on Windows Moviemaker - just drag and drop - but cannot transfer to dvd, hence the purchase of videostudio !
Have searched extensively with no success. Anyone have the answer ?
Thanks, Stefan

Can easily be done in Video Studio too. Just drop in a colour matte background into the main timeline between the clips where you want the title text to appear. Pull the yellow bar at the right end of the the selected colour matte to the right so that it is the same length, or a little longer than the title. Put in a cross fade transition before and after the colour matte.
To find the colour mattes, use the little drop down window in the top centre of screen, just under the Menu titles (in mine it is just under 'Title' and 'Audio'. In the dropdown menu which appears, you will see 'Color'. Select which colour you want, and simply drag it to the timeline and drop it in the selected place.
