Transitions and thumbnails

Post by sychnant »

I have been watching the tutorials at takeoneflix and am learning a lot.
However in Video studio Editor 10+ can anyone tell me how to apply transitions in bulk( ie- to all clips at once) and also how can i delete thumbnails in bulk also. I watched the guy do it in the tutorial and he seemed to just select 1 thumbnail and drag his mouse to select more but i cant seem to get it to work.
And finally.. how do i get to write my project back to dv tape? when i select the "share" tab and select"DV recording" i am told i must first select a clip from the library. (this is with the finished project
(or as much as i want to do with it) is opened in the timeline.
I thank you all for your help... Freddy Bemand

In File > Preferences choose Use Default Transition Effect. This will only put transition between new clips you put on the timeline, not on clips already on the timeline. For a project already started you will have to drag those clips to the library, then back down to the timeline. That should force VS to insert the transitions.

Hi

When you record video on your camcorder the data is saved as Dv-Avi on your Mini Dv tape.
This is ultimately captured/transferred to VS and edited as a project.

Your project has to be rendered to Dv-Avi.

Share Create Video File ¡VSame as First Video Clip ( if it is Avi)
If not then choose DV from the list.

The file will be 13Gb per hour.

It will be saved to your hard drive.

A thumbnail will be placed in the library.

Its this thumbnail that has to be selected to transfer the main video back to cam corder.
