Other than take a picture of the last frame of moving Text, I cannot figure out how to get a title clip to last longer on the screen.
For example:
My text is:
Time: 1400 Zulu
Location: Classified
Now, I want that text to roll up and (if possible) pause (after the word "Classified"). If not possible to pause, I at least want it to roll up and off the top of the screen, but let things keep playing before going into the next Text clip. Yes, i know I can do it by taking an image of the last frame, but that gets cumbersom (especially when it has to overlay something else (like moving water)).
I tried putting carraige returns and spaces (on the supposed next line after the word "Classified") but that did not work. Once it got to the last word, (Classified), it is done with the clip.
And if I stretch it, if pans up tooooooo slow.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Getting text to pause
Sometimes, the obvious is the way to go. I'd vote for the "cumbersome" way this time. Bite the bullet and do it. What ya gonna lose ? Time creating the effect? Or the effect for the video message?bob733 wrote:Other than take a picture of the last frame of moving Text, I cannot figure out how to get a title clip to last longer on the screen.

Have you tried using the multiple title or the single title? You should be able to accomplish this using the Multiple Title.
Type in your title, then make sure you have it selected in the preview window. Next, click on the Animation tab. The style for having your title scroll up onto the screen is found under the Fly animation effects, and should be first one.
Then click on the TT to customize the animation. You can set the pause/duration time from the User Defined. Once that is selected, then dragging the triangles beneath the blue bar will adjust the pause/duration.
I just tried that and it works. I had your title roll up one after the other. Had them both paused, for almost the entire duration of a short video clip, then scroll off the top.
Forgot to add, you need to adjust the total duration of your title. This can be done a couple of ways, the easiest (for me anyway), is to just drag the yellow (right) handle of the title in the time line.
