VS11+ Share> Create DVD> editor question/issue

Post by hotdog71 »

Hi All,

When I create a menu structure in Share> Create DVD editor that I am happy with how can I recall the menu to use later for burning additional DVD's or making slight modifications to it?

It seems whenever I exit the editor it says "saving project" most of the time it says "untitled" even when I give it a name and when I close VS program down and restart it later and try to continue I don't always see the file in the Share>Create DVD> editor page and I don't see any way to recall or add it?

Am I missing something?

Also I think it would be handy to have an option to "not save" in the Share>Create DVD project editor since it would appear to force you to save something even if you don't want it.

Any comments welcome.

regards
freddy

I believe it only saves for the duration of the session. Once you close VS it doesn't save it. But I'll wait for someone to give a difinitive answer on that.

Yes, when you exit the "burning module" (not the Editor) it says it is saving something or other. But the reality is that it is only saving a temporary file while the whole Video Studio program remains open.

The only way of saving your menus is, after building them, but before burning the actual disc, is to close the burning module. Ignore the 'saving' message (or at least, let it do its thing, then ignore it). But once you are back in the editor module, then you go to File > Save and save it as a new project, and remember the name. It will be saved in your working folder (File > Preferences > General). Then close the whole of Video Studio. The next time you open it and want to burn a full copy of that project, with menus, open the project, then go to the burning module and everything should be there.

Normally!!
