I recently bought an ATI A-I-W X800XT in PC running XPPro.
Trying to capture simple NTSC video from camcorder, vcr and DVD player I get a capture failure message using both VStudio10 and I even tried old reliable version 6.
Capture mode initializes okay and I see video and hear audio during capture BUT when I try to stop capture I get failure message saying "the captured file is corrupted and unusable and will be automatically deleted".
I have tried settings for S video and composite and both fail.
This is probably a simple setting issue either with Windows or ULead but I am stumped.
All help much appreciated!!
Cannot Capture using VStudio 10

I don't think that VS10+ works with that device because it's using hardware based compression.
VS11+ may work with it.
When using the ATI equipment & video/audio apps it's best to use the ATI software to capture with, then insert the videos into VS. The ATI software captures nice video & is written specifically for their hardware.
Previous / older hardware from ATI can be used in VS10.
